“We will endeavor to make our own creations.”
Issue #10 is last in the adventures of Jack McGinnis. The world is about to be taken over and dominated by the evil A.I. Vinton. You would think Jack has the upper hand in the whole situation, but at the moment he’s getting his butt kicked. Jack has friends(literally)in high places to stop the bad of a corrupt government agent. I’ve been going back and forth as to which way I feel this last story has gone. Some of O’Sullivan’s artwork seems a little more rushed then normal. It’s the possible relief of finishing this story. It could be that even in the end,the story leaves a little cliffhanger that Jack could have more adventures. There’s a goodbye letter from the “good” AI(which looks like an old boombox radio)that gives hope that humanity will endure. This is good story about how people can continue beyond a purge of information. Information is considered power. Let’s hope we never have to look at Jack’s example of what could come next. This is a good beginning for this character.
