Review: ★★★★☆

After a slight fill-in issue with the ancient Iron Fist, The Avengers get right back to it. Vampires. It’s strange to understand the concept that The Avengers would be fighting Avengers. Their newest team member Blade makes things a little bit more justifiable. Aaron introduces a new group, who are vampires, called Legion of the Unliving. These guys wanna take out Dracula. The book dips heavily into the vampire lore. The issue also has the Avengers split up into groups. They fight at specific “vampire” places across the globe. Iron Man gets some sweet new armor for the fight. Aaron also makes a great comment in regards to Captain America and his stance on church. David Marquez’s art work really well with the Avengers. He understands body proportions and knows when to use darks, especially with a character like Blade in the story. The plot uses Ghost Rider in a most unexpected way and we get a surprise guest at the end. The beginning of this story arc is good enough to sink our teeth into and get really for a great story.
