Review: ★★★★☆

Doc Shaner and Jeff Lemire continue their run on The Terrifics with Issue #5. The team has returned from Saturn’s Girl’s planet BGTZL. The creative team has created an extremely clever idea in telling the narrative of this issue. Each character has their own individual story  lines that is told in such a cool way. We are never missing a beat with any of the cast. It only takes two to three pages to get how this is being achieved. Each hero also has their own level of character development within their cubical world. It’s something the book truly needed to increase the plot and value of the characters. THEN COMES the BOOM!!! The plot device from Issue #3 returns and provides us with villain to complicate the story into the ELEMENTAL WORLD. Good guys have to have bad guys to fight and so forth. The cover lets on some of the surprise, but not all of it. The book has some great team building moments within the fight. The art work continues to be fun and sharp where it needs to be. The book’s shift in the narrative has a great touch and now we’re more looking forward to stretch towards Issue #6.
