Review: ★★★★☆

Image Comics drops a new title called Bonehead which is set in a science fiction type city. Our hero “56” as he is called is a silent character that sports a robot like helmet that is revered to as a “bonehead”. We don’t get to discover if the “bonehead” is design for survival or simply a status symbol. The story appears to have 56 on a mission with a guy helping him along the away. It isn’t clear if they are attempting to right the wrongs or just being mischievous. 56 does manage to protect another helmeted character along his travels. Pumpkinjuice is the an orange striped character that gives more questions to our new hero. The book is an excellent sci-fi story that looks fantastic. The bright red illustration of 56 on the cover was the primary reason I picked up the book. I can say I’m glad I checked it out. Rhoald Marcelluis designs are well thought out and have some nice fluid motions and a fantastic sense of space. We get an interesting cliffhanger that should provide more back story to our character.
