Review: ★★★★☆
Aric is the best at what he does. And what he does he wage war. Having shown off what he could accomplish in the opening salvo, he heads back into the thick of it, in charge of a small squad on yet another suicide mission. But once again he takes things into his own hands (or hand), charging in on his own terms for some serious ass kicking. He has a bit of help from a sliver of his suit that he carved off last issue, giving him plenty of power when he needs it the most. Giorello really brings the action to life, his time on Conan being a perfect shift into showing what type of barbarian Aric can be. The action sequences are powerful, brutal, and violent, just as they should be. Kindt continues to tease us with what happened to Aric to put him in his current situation, though we’re still left in the dark. Between the action and the intrigue, we’re certainly hooked on this current direction, just as you should be if you haven’t jumped on board yet.
