Marvel Studious held a special press event today where they had several announcements in store for their cinematic universe.
The first announcement up was one longed rumored but now confirmed. The third Captain America film will indeed be called Capatain America: Cival War. It will find Captain America and Iron Man falling on opposite sides of what we assume is the Superhuman Registration Act from the comics.
The third Thor film was confirmed, Thor: Ragnarok. It will feature the return of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston’s Thor and Loki. It will immediately follow the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron and is said to take Thor to “another level of his own franchise.” It will hit theaters July 28th, 2017.
One of the first big suprising reveals was the annoucement of Black Panther. The super hero will get his own solo film, begining with an easter egg in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The film will hit theaters November 3rd, 2017.
Marvel will finally give one of their female heroes a starring role in Captain Marvel. That is right, Carrol Danvers will finally have the chance to suit up in her own film on November 2nd, 2018.
Another Marvel super team will be getting their own film. The Inhumans will come to theaters on November 2nd, 2018.
The next set of announcements will get Avengers fans screaming in glee. Avengers: Infinity Wars – Part I and Avengers: Infinity Wars – Part II have been announced! Are the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy set to meet?
Two previously announced films were given dates. Doctor Strange, now starring Benedict Cumberbatch will release in theaters on November 4th, 2016 while Guardians of the Galaxy 2 has been pushed up to May 5th, 2017.
