“The world is full of bad people. We try and ignore that fact.”

For the most part Death or Glory has been one fantastic chase scene after another. Issue #10 drops us in the middle of Glory and her seemingly second winded father Red chasing an ambulance full of body parts. It’s actually a very gruesome scene, which leads to a giant crash.  The pair are headed to Mexico to get the surgery Red needs to survive. The Coyote has the underground path to get them there. It all feels like a trap and probably is one…maybe. Along the way Glory has to cope with the deaths of Cindy and Winston. Pablo also decides to make a stand to get some revenge. This leads to another gruesome scene with a helicopter and a flashback of unspeakable proportions. Remender has created some fantastic build up to the end of this story. It should be interesting to see where the eventual show down happens. Bengal’s art continues to be fantastic. The work looks almost like a living anime, but without some of the obvious exaggerations. The series continues to come with a serious undertone of the probability of people being used for unspeakable things and the concept of not having insurance when a life saving surgery is necessary. Death or Glory continues to questions the value of life in the harshest ways. Glory continues to see this…we will see the end soon.
