“Ever Fuck Somebody?”

The last review I did for Sex Criminals was August 18th 2018. That’s a long long time between the release of books. To be fair Chip Zdarsky has been writing a ton of comics for Marvel. What does time do for a creator’s mojo? It changes their perspective and focus with what they are creating. Not that anything is lost in time with this comic. I mean the story opens up with Suzanne’s conception. It’s a special moment equipped with glamorous signage. The book has more serious tone about trauma and loss. It’s primarily focused on Suzanne psychosis. Now keep in mind that Suze and Jon’s powers allow time to stop upon sexual climax. This issue addresses another potential addition to their power set. As with time can be fluid This leads us back to title. “Ever Fuck Somebody?” isn’t the literal sense but the way where someone’s world is destroyed. The concept changes these character’s view of their specific circumstances. It’s like how Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky changes this story. It’s an excellent change to the book and comes with a shocking ending. The cover states that this is the end of Part One. This hopefully means we have many more stories to look forward but not so spaced out.
