Review:  ★★★★☆

Many many things happened during this time frame of Spider-Man’s life. In the short pages of this particular book Zdarsky has managed to talk about the Civil Wars, Miles Morales and Superior Spider-man. With all this going on…Doctor Doom has taken over the planet. He rules with a strong iron hand…so to speak. Peter has taken to be the leader of the revolution of this “life story”. It’s how Zdarsky integrates the ’10’s elements to make his Spider-Man story work. The ending is not without much surprise…sacrifices usually have to be made to have us feel the life of the story. The best part of the story is how Uncle is worked within the book. It’s a shame that this is short story with tons and tons of material that could be covered. Mark Bagley’s artwork is simply amazing. It’s wonder that Marvel doesn’t pay him tons of cash to just draw Spider-man. He does get to create two really cool Spidey suits for this story. It’s nice that Mark’s artwork fits in frame of Peter Parker’s life.  This 6 part story could have gone many many directions. I’m happy Chip put us on this path.
