Part 3: TV STORY

I believe that the Ice Cream Man exists to simply torment our characters. Will Parsons 34. Will is literally trapped inside reality shows. The issue pokes fun at The Bachelor, Chopped, America’s Got Talent, one show I’m not sure about and The Kardashians. The “comic” does it’s best to comment on these shows. Reality shows can be gruesome on some levels. This is the Ice Cream Man, so it doesn’t hold back on the level gore it’s willing to expose us. There’s an old movie from 1988 that this tale reminds me. It was called Stay Tuned with John Ritter. Both this book and the movie points out that we probably spend too much time glued to our screens and not living the reality of the actual world. Stay Tuned does play it up more for laughs and TV STORY…not so much. The Ice Cream Man himself jumps in and out of the story to remind us that he’s pulling the strings here. Prince understands, we are zombies in the living world. I continue to enjoy Morazzo’s artwork. It’s at it’s finest when he shows you things your not supposed to see or witness for that matter. The creators are on an excellent run. Let’s hope it continues.
