Review: ★★★★☆

I have to say I have much praise for Mirka Andolfo’s Unnatural. The series has given us a beautiful look at some her fantastic art. Issue #5 continues Leslie’s escape from the cult trying sacrifice her. She has been saved by the one person that’s been haunting sensual and sometimes violent dreams. Our wolf-like character comes with the name Khal. Finally we get some back story about Khal. It’s by far an element of this book we’ve needed to explain well…anything. Andolfo also gives us a little more insight to how Leslie and Khal are connected. The story still leaves a little hanging out in the air. Which is ok. Andolfo introduces a new character that has a lot in common with Leslie. The real question is what happens next. I haven’t quite figured out where this story is going. I been looking for a deeper meaning to this series. Andolfo might have something more going on. She’s simply not letting us in yet. It’s subtle but Andolfo is trying to still point out that you can’t help who you love regardless of what people think of you. So far we love this series.
