Review: ★★★☆☆

Vadar’s Castle issue #2 continues with the Rebels that are now trapped on Mustafar. The series has this side plot but then jumps to the back story Cavan Scott is telling. Issue #2 spotlights the art skills of Kelley Jones. Mr. Jones is a perfect choice for any horror type story. This is a Star Wars so his style is good and bad here. Several shots involving Obi-Wan and the evil Count Dooku look really really creepy. The story involves Dooku joining the Separatists with a bat like energy sucking vampire creatures. It’s very becoming for the Halloween theme. Kelley does solid work with regards to the vampire creatures. It’s his Clone Troopers or any technology that requires additional detail is where his art could be added. The book ends with a cliffhanger for the Rebel crew. It’s a wonder if these characters will survive even the end of this story, let alone what lurks in the castle.
