Review:  ★★★☆☆

Curse Words has probably been one of the best reads I’ve had to privilege of reviewing. I usually have glowing things to say about the book. This last arc has actually been dragging for me. The pay off with what happens to Jacques Zacques and Sizzajee was cool but took way too long. There wasn’t enough of the Tiger Clan. Margaret’s little arc was also not so much a surprise for us but for her. It will be interesting to see where Soule takes that from here. Wizord and Ruby are still having issue staying powered up with magic. Ryan Browne’s art looks a little more rushed then usual too. The book still has tons of quality moments to keep us going and hoping for more. Granted, the book is taking a break and we are getting a Swim Suit issue. The book’s endings, while it took along time, will give us something to look forward to later. Jacques and Margaret will have some interesting character arcs from here. The Wizord and Ruby almost seem like they really don’t live beyond their own worlds.  Wizord does something out of character that shows another side of character. It’s actually one of the things that makes these character interesting and keep us coming back.
