Review:  ★★★★

Take a moment and step back in time to 1966. The Dark Knight hasn’t necessarily become so Dark. The campy Batman of the ’66 finally has his team-up with Archie and his gang. The book opens with Poison Ivy causing trouble after simply escaping Arkham Asylum. The villain list also included Bookworm(which I never really care for in any incarnation), The Penquin, Catwoman, The Riddler and The Joker. Our Batman villains have an epiphany and decide it’s time to switch cities to do their evil deeds. Of course that leads us to Riverdale. Archie and Jughead have the simple life of just trying to get through a history test. The young ladies of Riverdale have come across some strange personality changes in the males of the town. The story is straight forward and true to both Batman ’66 and Archie. It’s interesting to see how Batman will make his way to Riverdale. The art looks like a mix between Batman of the time and classic Archie. I wouldn’t expect any less. I think this book will work well with fans of both Batman and Archie. The book will go nice with the Warner Brothers crossovers DC has been putting together over the last year.
