Comic Books are always good for one thing…TEAM UPS. The Archie gang is definitely not shy of team-ups in any sense. The latest combo happens to team Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead come together with the Mighty Crusaders. The Crusaders are Archie Comics version of superheros or their take off of the Justice League and such. Wouldn’t you know it…Doctor Zardoz ruins their simple class time by unleashing destruction upon Riverdale High School. I’m always up for a decent superhero story and always a quality team-up for that matter. The book’s artwork and a nice cue to the Beatles made me totally enjoy this first part issue. The gang did the whole Power Rangers thing too.  I didn’t actually know that Jerry Siegel had a hand in creating the Mighty Crusaders in ’65. Good show Jerry. I would say the book is surely a throw away read that any comic book lover could pick up for fun or just to add to the Mighty Crusader comics in the long box. Our story has a nice ending that will test the mettle of the lovable Jughead in the follow up issue.
