Review:  ★★★★☆

X-Files has always interested me ever since the 90’s. This series is no different. The characters are captured so well in the art and dialogue, it’s like they never left the screen. Mulder and Scully have always had an interesting dynamic and chemistry together. This particular issue lays it on pretty thick, especially with Mulder’s constant wise cracks and Scully’s dismissive sarcasm. The art and banter quickly made me enjoy this issue, but the beginning jumped around a little and the concentration of sarcastic banter in some spots was a little heavy. It wasn’t too off-putting, though! I enjoyed seeing two of my favorite sci-fi series characters on the case.  Of course, not only do the characters give, well, character to X-Files, the different paranormal phenomena is always changing and intriguing us. This issue deals with “The Florida Man”. Not only a popular internet meme, but a very real phenomenon in this story. Why is it always the “Florida Man” at the center of every major news story? Bath-salt induced crimes, major disappearances, and in high enough numbers to get Mulder and Scully on the case. This issue is to be continued in the next, but the story is just as driving as it should be for any fan of the series, television show or otherwise.
