Review: ★★★★☆

Like a moth to a flame. Any good story will take it’s time to get going. This is definitely true here. I stopped to think about the title and I thought perhaps Doomsday is going to come back and kill Superman again.  I hope that isn’t the case here.  The latest issue picks up with our new Rorschach, who has been displaced in Arkham Asylum by the Batman. What Geoff Johns does is to explain his Rorschach. It slows the story down just a bit.  I at first was disappointed by this turn. I wasn’t really wanting an explanation to why Rorschach existed, but what we got was worth the read and kept me involved. Johns also gives us a little Batman love as well. Gary Frank’s artwork continues to work really well with the darkness that is coming. I’m not a big avid DC reader but I’m glad I’m able to pick this up every month. I can’t wait to see the resolve of what this story brings to the DC Universe or if it has any effect in the long-term.
