Review: ★★★☆☆

It’s not that hard to believe that there are more stories for the cast of Star Wars: Rebels to be told. The animated series recently ended on Disney XD, so any additional stories tend to pull the heart-strings of yours truly. This particular tale takes the crew off to save an animal off a system that the Emperor has deemed his Zoo. Space Zoo, yeah I know, sounds strange in the Star Wars Universe. It’s a situation that we generally see from Ezra and the team. The whole thing is actually very normal for our Rebels including the addition of Hondo, who is the animated space pirate we all love. There’s a nifty cliffhanger that’ll lead us into the next issue. The Tales from Wild Space takes a unique turn by using two rebel we see very little. Nien Nunb and Shriv make appearances in this little back up story. Nien Nunb is from Return of the Jedi and Shriv makes appearances in Star Wars Battlefront II. Ironically both characters appear with Lando Calrissan. The art in both stories are very kid friendly. Star Wars:Rebels has a more animatic design and Tales has a pop like feel. The book continues to be both fun and entertaining, which happens to be nice additions to the Star Wars lore.
