Review: ★★★★☆

Let it always be said, “All good things must come to an end.” Especially comic books.  Issue 713 ends the ‘Return to Planet Hulk’ storyline. The final battle has our jolly green giant face to face with the Warlord himself. The battle is referred to as the GAUNTLET!  The particular run on the book has been to test whether Amadeus Cho has been able to retain his personality and keep the Hulk’s brutality in check. This issue provides some answers on top of some mighty Marvel battles that we’ve come to love and look forward to seeing. The cost of the fight should be worth the price. It’s a good end to good story and I hate to see Greg Land and Jay Leisten leave the book.  I’m not a huge fan of Marvel repeating itself but Return to Planet Hulk has been a quality read. The artwork has been exciting and fun to enjoy page by page. Greg Pak has done excellent job of adding to the mythos that the Hulk has always been. Next month should be an excellent ride if you stay on board for the SMASHING!!
