Review: ★★★★☆

Witchblade picks up two weeks after Alex’s encounter at he morgue. She’s discovered there’s more going around with the police force then appears. Strange thing is, it kind of dodges around that sub-plot and moves on from there. Alex gets called into talk to a mother of a kidnapping victim. Everything isn’t what it seems. Ash returns to guide her. We get an introduction to a new character by the name of Majil. This guy is the supernatural expert that is more business than fantasy. Within this story Alex become more comfortable using her “Witchblade”. It’s an excellent story that helps with her overall character development. The kidnapping portion of the story leads into the next issue as well. Ingranata artwork along with Valenza’s colors continue to give this book a solid look and more importantly atmosphere. Issue 4 should be an excellent ride for us new readers and fan alike.
