Review: ★★★★☆

Bonehead returns with answers. Apparently the Blackdeath character has a history and ties to “56”. The revelation is a good one and gives some solid depth to the character. We also get a really cool interaction between 56 and Pumpkin Juice that is illustrated with quality and grace. The story exposes more about what is going with Pumpkin Juice, but also down plays his role in this universe. 56 is going to have to deal with other issues occurring in the city that are more drug related so it brings the story down to a more street level feel. I’m proud that I picked up this book and can’t wait to see what else will come of the story. The flip of the whole is the “boneheads” themselves take away some of the emotion that could be implied through facial expressions. Marcelluis get around this though by giving each bonehead character a specific body language. The next issue builds up to be a quality showdown between 56 and another introduced in issue two, meaning this is the time to jump on board if you haven’t yet.
