Review: ★★★☆☆

The latest issue gives us a look at one of The Last Jedi’s new characters: Rose. Rose is clearly a different look at the Resistance/Rebellion and the smaller people who work within the band of freedom fighters. Rose is stationed on the main Mon Calamari cruiser and she has to decipher their language and technical design. The story has some funny interactions with Poe Dameron, General Leia, and her sister Paige. Derek Charm’s art is solid. He knows his Star Wars ships very well and puts together an excellent likenesses of the characters. Anyone wanting more info of the some of the new characters in the film will find this really informative. The back up story is a look back to a young Anakin on Tatoonie, specifically the trials he had to suffer to become a pod racer. In the process we learn what Anakin does to help the locals. Both stories are geared for a younger audience, but I would suggest these for any Star Wars fans for some great untold tales.
