Review: ★★★★☆

The definition of Dissonance is a state of mental conflict. Cultural dissonance is an uncomfortable sense experienced by people in the midst of change in their cultural environment. The beings of Terra Fantasme are in a state of perfection, but lack a soul and consciousness. These beings were spirituals creature that were in a constant state of war. In an effort to cure their lack of humanity these beings have made a pact with humans and bonded with them in what was called Dissonance. The story is one that questions the choices that these people have made by bonding with human kind. Within the story we get the influx of corporate greed that is trying to control the situation. Two of our main characters are brother and sister that have a somewhat sadomasochistic history. The psychology of their relationship makes the book much more interesting. The artwork is detailed and fantastic looking. The colors stand out as one of the bright spots of the book. I first took a look at the book in a comic shop and pass on it. I would say I was wrong here, this is an excellent story and should have some decent stories to tell in the future.
