Review: ★★★★☆

There is nothing more Americana then werewolves, venomous spiders, and of course the ice cream man. This particular starts off with a young man buying two scoops of ice cream from the local ice cream man. We know something is up with this situation, since the dialog boxes give us a gritty break down about deadly spiders. Cut to a police station and the possible protagonist in the story. After an introduction and a really disturbed moment that will tie the story together to a certain degree. Needless to say that this is a very disturbing story that will probably have an interesting back story. It definitely pushes the fear of spiders to grim point. The artwork is detailed in every panel. Morazzo uses thin lines to illustrate the characters and surroundings very well. It has a nice realistic look to it all. Creepy is definitely a good word for this story. It’s too soon to say if the story in this one with tie with the next. The story doesn’t really leave with any loose ends just questions and a cover shot of the next issue. The ice cream man is something to behold.
