Review: ★★☆☆☆

Every once in a while a book can simply draw you in with decent cover. Sleepless does just this, but then the story opens in a tomb. A gray and drab looking tomb that really needs more detail. Sleepless refers to the guardian of the main character Princess Poppy. The guy never sleeps plus I think he’s dead, but not a ghost. It’s this little bit of mystery that draws some of my attention. The rest of the book comes off as boring. The story has a beautiful landscape but need some more subtle touches to help the story a little more. The book feels generic in its medieval since that I’m not sure I want to care about the characters or how the plot is going to layout. Sleepless is a good title for this book that needs just a little more life to make it not seem to lay about. If your fans of the artists involve I would continue your read hopefully the story will be more progressive and fulfill more of the face value expectations.
