Wow. To get this out of the way right off the bat, Savage Dragon has always been a title that kids should stay away from, but this issue takes the cake. At least a couple of pages look more like they would appear in an issue of Playboy than your monthly superhero comic. While I’m not holding it against the series in anyway, its just a bit of a shocker how graphic Larsen decided to go here with Malcolm and Maxine’s sex scenes. With that out of the way, the issue does jump all over the place, a bit more so than usual. Malcolm and Maxine are trying to assimilate into their new Canadian lives while Maxine’s mother comes for a visit and Malcolm gets called out for some work. We also get a look into how Angel and the others are fairing being stranded on Dimension X, albeit a very brief look. The book is loaded with drama, action, and plenty of sex. The quick transitions from scenes and time could have been handled better, but its still a fun issue with all of its moving parts.
