Review: ★★★★☆

What exactly is a Doomster? This is a person that enjoys, plays, dreads, and lives the world of Doom Metal. Based in the early 1970’s around the sound brought on by Black Sabbath. Our writer and artist are clearly fans of the music and culture. This book is well, for the lack of a better word, a coffee table comic. At 12.99 you would hope it will be worth the reference or a spot on the shelf. I would say if this is your thing, for sure. Donders’s illustrations are fun and colorful. I could definitely see a patch for each one of those designs. Keep in mind that this book has several pages of drug references so this isn’t something for younger audience. A to Z it is an excellent reference to Doom Metal. Otherwise hard doom metal rockers tend to be the audience here or someone looking to open their reading spectrum.
