Review:  ★★★★☆

I have to admit that I’ve never read a Robert A Howard novel but I did have some vague notion of who Kull was. Kull the King was one of his common names when he became king of Valusia. The title itself is ominous and speaks highly for what is about to put before us. The opening alone gives us lizard men in the frozen Antarctica. Then the backstory comes about, but what is the purpose? Okay, first issue they want to hook us into reading more of this story. I’ll bite. The artwork is solid and there’s some decent action. The story presents us with a mystery necessary to have us craving more. Tom Waltz gives us a nice little write-up about his story at the end and I for appreciate his input to the creative method.
