Cue the Rocky montage music. Or at least that’s what it feels like should happen during this issue, an interesting story that gets overstuffed with content. Aric and his men jump from one point to the other many more times than they should. While I’m all in favor of skipping out on long-winded decompression, this takes it to the other side where the actions that unfold should have been split at least between two issues. Aric barters a piece treaty. Aric and his men lay and wait to strike. Aric and his men strike. So on so on. By the time the story hits us with one last shoker, we were winded and ready for a nap. The said thing about it is what makes it feel so rushed is that Kindt has crafted a fine story and Braithwaite is serving up some delicious art. Everything could have just used a little more time to breath before moving on.
