Review: ★★★★☆

It all comes down to this, the final showdown between the Earth Protection Force and Dark Water against the Turtles and Mutanimals.  Hob is calling the shots on this one, having rounded up some familial insurance to make sure he can get the Mutanimals back.  If you think Bishop is going to let a little thing like his family get in the way of his mission, you’d be sorely mistaken.  We get to see the Turtles be the ninja badasses they are, taking out a strike force with ease and that’s just the beginning.  Santolouco’s art and Pattison’s colors just make the entire issue look stunning, both bringing their A game.  While not to spoil anything, while their certainly is a finality to the arc, there are still enough loose ends that mean we haven’t seen the last of Bishop.  The villain started off a little on the plain side, but after this issue we’re really hoping it won’t be very long until he makes his return to torment the Turtles.  Another issue to show us why the Turtles is such an amazing book you should be reading every month.
