Review:  ★★★★☆

Darkness Visible issue 5 shows us the aftermath of last issue’s events. Detective Ashton and Glorianna are on the run. This begins to focus more closely on the relationships between the humans and the Shaitan. We get to see what happens when the two don’t exactly bond the way they should. We also find out that the Shaitan have also embraced our human mating rituals. It’s actually one of the things that brings the mature subject matter into play. The creators also give us some insight into the Shaitan’s “mother” of sorts. The whole issue is loaded with tons of information which is really helpful to the story. It is obviously a bridge story that will push this book to finish the current plot lines. The artwork still continues to be fantastic and pleasure to witness. The last few pages give us more to believe that no all humans are on board with the whole bonding concept. It’s just one extra element that will make you pick up the next issues and beyond.
