Review:  ★★★★☆

I put some thought into the title of this comic, Reflections. Reflections tend to look back at you when you look at it. So what is our Master Templar hoping to see in his views to the past? IDW returns with a closer look at another of history’s assassins. We get a reflection of Edward Kenway. Kenway is a fan favorite with everyone as the pirate creed that was based on the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag video game. In this story, Kenway runs afoul a pirate of some actual legend. The notorious pirate Ned Low creates some issues for our redeemed assassin. Edward has discovered a means to continue his income without actually being a pirate. This story is an excellent “look back” to possible points in time. I think it’s story that might draw more readership. Valeria Favoccia still provides excellent craftsmanship with his artwork. I still hope that this reflects back to the present and give us more to come in later issues.
