Review:  ★★★★☆

The latest anthology from Storm King is a science fiction story created in the vain of Aliens, Event Horizon, or Sunshine. First off, the book has the look and feel of an Alien movie. The opening scenes with the crew really gives the attitude and feel. It works really well for this story. We know going into the story that the crew of the Gaia is going to run into some trouble. They come across an “abandoned” space craft that looks like it has human qualities. This is a horror story and it has the subtle panic of a claustrophobic horror story. The thing that fails a lot of science stories is when the science doesn’t seem sound at all. The artwork works really well here and is detailed enough to allow the level of belief to exist. I can’t wait to continue to read this story and what is to come.
