Review:  ★★★★☆

I’ll let it be said I have become a Latour and Brunner fan for life after reading Loose Ends.  I haven’t even read Southern Bastards either (though it’s on my to read list). Loose Ends ties itself up with the final pieces of story and where they all fit together. I like the fact that Jason Latour sets his final scenes in a seedy motel. It has that sense of a crime story that could happen in the movies. With everything that occurs in the final act it’s not too much of a surprise, but very “I can’t believe they did that or I can see that happening”. Loose Ends is a story that is down to earth and somewhat gruesome. I’m sad the book is over but I’m happy with everything I experienced.
