Review:  ★★★★★

While the main, original arc in Beauty had been fantastic, the one shot stories they’ve been telling continue to stand out on their own.  While it seems we will meet up with our detective duos once again next issue, we get one last tale from the world of Beauty, this time showing us what dating is like with the disease.  Joe happens to be on the search for love, but being born beautiful, not from the affects of beauty, has complicated that for him.  Woman who want to get infected by beauty think he has it and want him only for that.  Woman who are opposed to beauty think he has it and hold it against him.  It certainly is a tale of a different sort from any of the other tales we’ve read during this series, but this one might be the most natural and refreshing of them all.  There’s no blood, violence, or anything of that nature.  Instead it gives us a real look about how we want to judge a book by its cover, especially in dating.  Hopefully we will see additional single serving stories like this from the series, but if not, we at least got the perfect one here.
