Review:  ★★★★☆

Back to the Future has been one of the more beloved movie trilogies of all time. It created some memorable characters and add to the one thousand and one conversations about what happens if you go back in time. IDW has given us something unique with additional story about one of our favorite bad guys: Biff Tannin. The story takes place right after Biff gets the Sports Almanac from his future self. The story is an interesting look at what made Biff be Biff aside from the Mad Dog side of his DNA. The first issue sets up Biff’s path to riches and fame but is incredibly dark in a couple of points. What makes this story really cool is that fact that Bob Gale is one of the original writers from the film and it feels like that universe. The artwork is fun and detailed where it needs to be. The comic should be continually give us the insight into Biff that is fun to laugh at even though we know the eventual end.
