Review: ★★★★☆

Is this the end of Bloodshot? After finally breaking through Kay’s mind control, Bloodshot and her are finally ready to jump into the madness New York has descended into.  It’s just in time too, as the other Bloodshots and Ninjak are waging a losing battle in trying to contain the infected.  While things get wrapped up fairly quickly, two characters fall by the end.  It teeters on feeling rushed, but Braithwaite packs every page and panel with enough excitement in his art to keep it satisfying.  After this issue it appears Ray will finally get the rest he deserves as the Bloodshot series takes a break.  It’s disappointing since Lemire’s run has been fantastic, but at least Bloodshot U.S.A. properly bookends what began in The Valiant and Reborn for an excellent sendoff.
