Review:  ★★★★☆

There’s an old saying that “comics are for kids”;  clearly they haven’t sat and read a comic for the last twenty to thirty years.  IDW has mastered the art of licensed products so with that we get Angry Birds. Anyone with a smart phone or iPod has played Angry Birds once or twice, or in my case hours.   This issue brings us three little tales of Pigs trying to get a few eggs from a few birds. Each tale is colorful and fun. The strange thing about the characters is how everyone just sort of floats.  We also don’t get to see the sling shot in action which just feels wrong. The stories might play well in the Sunday funnies, so four bucks might be a little much to spend. The basic theme has been seen in countless cartoons, but the book will sell well to kids looking for a quick read.
