Picking up after last month’s issue, this week finds Archie and Veronica continuing to deal with being out of each others lives.  For Archie, he feels defeated and finally ready to give up on being an overachiever, or to settle at being more like Jughead.  Jughead can’t stand to see Archie become like him, meaning this may finally light a fire under him to stop his own aimlessness in a quest to help his friend.  Meanwhile Veronica has found herself in an all out war against Cheryl Blossom fo who will be the queen of their school.  The old Veronica would have had no problem with this, but post Riverdale and Archie, she’s changed into a much more reflective, caring person.  The war is taking an emotional toll that before wouldn’t have bothered her.  It really drives home the idea that both Archie and Veronica are better people around each other.  While it’s just a matter of time until they are reunited, that might be a bit further away as we could easily see Cheryl fighting back by taking what Veronica now cherishes most, Archie.
