Episode 2 of Telltale’s Batman series takes the series to the darkest depths yet. Continuing from Episode 1, the Wayne Legacy is indeed in question as we found out that Bruce and Martha rubbed elbows with Falcone and practically set up Gotham with its crime. Episode 2 not only confirms these suspicions, but continues to ram them into Bruce’s brain. After a visit with Falcone goes wrong, Bruce must find out who exactly sent Joe Chill to murder his family on that horrible night. Catwoman comes back into the fold as we find out that she is in fact in danger by this mysterious person as well.

Within the second act of Children Of Arkham, we find out that Oswald Cobblepot, who is hiding under a very weird mask, is calling himself, surprise, The Penguin. Events unfold at a political debate that leaves Batman with a very tough choice:  save Harvey Dent or save Catwoman. Telltale really knows how to get our hearts pumping with its decision making.  That’s just a hint of the excitement in store.

Hands down Episode 2 delivers on all fronts of entertainment. This episode gets a perfect score because it has the right balance of knowing when to go dark and over the top as well as bringing everything that you think you know about the back story of Bruce Wayne into question. I for one am excited to see where the story goes from here and to see exactly what Telltale has up their sleeve for the rest of the episodes.
