The Top Ten Fall 2016 Shows We’re Looking Forward To

Fall Television has finally arrived after what always seems like a summer eternity. When our shows ended last Fall, we had to slowly unglue ourselves from our respective couches and get out to breathe some fresh air (yuck!).  Months of patient waiting have finally paid off and we’re ready to say goodbye to the outside world and once again enjoy our favorite shows in the permanent butt imprint on our cushion.  With so many shows to choose from, we’ve compiled the top ten shows this Fall we know we are not going to miss.

bigbangtheory2016

10. The Big Bang Theory (CBS)

While this is still not a comic book show it does relate to many of us nerds around the globe. The first episode has aired and it felt somewhat stale and old honestly, but I imagine good things are about to happen to the California-based gang.  This far in, even if it isn’t firing on all cylinders we can’t stop watching now.

lucifer2016

9. Lucifer (FOX)

Lucifer returns after a successful first season. Who knew that Satan could have a tv cult following? While it may deviate a bit from its source comic, Tom Ellis oozes charm in the role and won us over early on.  With a new family member stopping into town in the form of Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica anyone?), we’re sure we won’t want to miss an episode this season.

izombie2016

8. i Zombie (CW)

I am a Zombie, your Zombie, everyone is Zombie…What?!? If for some reason you haven’t seen i Zombie yet you don’t know what you’re missing.  This show is smart in all the right places.  It must be from all those brains that get ate.  Liv Moore returns to Tuesday nights with Zombies on the verge of taking over Seattle.

legends2016

7. Legends of Tomorrow (CW)

Travel through time with the CW’s group of time travelling Super Hero Legends.  Last season they luckily left behind Vandal Savage as they get ready to take on a new villain and some new heroes to the rotating cast.  Are you ready for the Justice Society of America?  We sure are!

6. Gotham (FOX)

Jim Gordon and a troupe of villains return to Gotham to build Batman’s origins. Last season really took Gotham off the rails, but in a good way.  It feels more like Tim Burton’s Batman films, but still retaining its own bizarre reality.  Hopefully Season 3 can continue down the crazy path for some pure fun.

supergirl2016

5. Supergirl (CW)

Supergirl moves to the CW this Fall. It’s a good match considering the production team runs Arrow, Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.  This means that we will be getting at least one big crossover between all the shows this season.  If that weren’t enough, Kara’s famous cousin is finally making an appearance.  This season is already looking to top the first quickly.

marvelghost2016

4. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  (ABC)

Marvels’ Agents have been consistently good since the first season.  They successfully brought in the Inhumans and now are ready to take on the Ghost Rider, sans Nicholas Cage thank God. We can’t wait to see how his introduction will mix things up, as well as pave the wave for the mystical elements of Doctor Strange hitting theaters this November.

3. Luke Cage (Netflix)

Daredevil?  Amazing!  Jessica Jones? Fantastic!  So far Netflix hasn’t failed to disappoint us and we’re not expecting Luke Cage to be any different. Mike Colter was perfectly cast as Luke as we already saw in Jessica Jones. Whether you binge watch in a night and enjoy at a nice and slow pace Luke should be excellent and tying up our time at the end of September.

2. Arrow (CW)

Oliver is the mayor and half the characters escaped to do their own things. Is this going to be a soft reboot for the series with some fresh faces, or will the original team Arrow unite quickly?  Either way it has been one of our favorite shows and we can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for Oliver this season.  Least we forget, what type of effect is Flashpoint going to have on Arrow?!

flash2016

1. Flash (CW)

YES.  The best show on TV.  The Flash adds the superhero ZIP and ZOOM we love in our comic books shows, plus it has the human elements that brings it down to earth. The last season asked us the basic question of what would you do if you could save the ones you love? Well Barry changed reality to save his mom. Now he ha to deal with a very different world.  And we couldn’t be more excited.  If our hype for The Flash’s return were measured on a thermometer, that thermometer just burst!

That’s a wrap from us, but let us know in the comments below what you will be on your watch list as well!
