A good idea in the Valiant universe is not to piss off the Eternal Warrior. His latest foe has pissed him off. Stuck in the labyrinth where he has been facing his constant death again and again, he has to leave his family in the afterlife every time he comes back. Gilad finally has a plan to escape his confines and this time no robots or mercenaries are getting in his way. Allén, with the assisting artists and Pindado’s colors, completely encapsulate Gilad’s rage, so much so that you almost feel bad for those it’s aimed towards. I say almost because watching him unleashed is pure gold. His family makes a brief appearance in the issue; they’re inclusion most likely points to them still having a bigger role to play. However we don’t see his oldest son, for which his absence makes us think he’s going to be pivotal to this arc. There are plenty of pieces on the board, next issue should provide us with where they all go.
