Review: ★★★★☆

After experiencing one “death” on the mysterious island he has found himself on, Bloodshot is ready to take action.  Rallying the other Bloodshots, he makes a plan that at least could help them learn more about their location and their executioner, Deathmate.  Along the way, we also learn more about his companions, giving us a new insight into the origins of Project Rising Spirit.  At first it felt much to convenient that our hero was the one who would finally be able to lead his companions to freedom.  What would he be able to figure out the others hadn’t already?  While some of that initial apprehension lingered, a reveal about who, or what, Deathmate is at the end actually works as a perfect fit to bring us full circle to the beginning of the series.  We’ve been in love with Reborn since launch, but Bloodshot Island is already shaping up to be one of the series best arcs.
