There is an all-powerful big bad ready to take over the world, but the biggest threat to the scooby gang happens to be their own problems. Xander and Dawn are still out of the picture, stranded and ready to find a way home themselves. Now that the rest of the team knows D’Hoffryn completely played them, their already rocky friendships are put to the ultimate test as they begin blaming one another. It continues to tear them part, but they are at least able to realize that D”Hoffryn would need a humans wishes to fuel his vengeance based powers. The human in question is a great treat for longtime fans which makes sense considering his own run of luck and betrayals over the years. The basis for the crumbling relationships has been slowly building, but in this issue it began to feel a little childish. They haven’t been high schoolers for quite some time, yet they’re acting a lot like they are. Drama will rightfully always be apart of Buffy, lets just not forget how far they’ve come and developed either.
