The first arc of the series saw Gilad cutting through the underworld to come back to life. The current arc already looks as though coming back to life was the easy part. The new villain introduced in the last two issues has watched Gilad for years and finally saw his chance to capture him while he was still dead. Now to escape, Gilad is going to have to fight his way through a labyrinth death trap, designed to test him in every way. The best thing about this issue is that we continue to delve into the Dying One, who is so similar to Gilad, these tests could make him a true, long-term nemesis. We’re really looking forward to seeing more of him, while hoping it will stick around. The next best thing about this issue is Allén’s art. There is plenty of dialogue to the issue, but Allén makes every page exciting, even before the tests begin which puts it over the top. The arc just started, but we’re already 100% invested and ready to see where it takes us.
