Review:  ★★★☆☆

The scooby-gang continues to run through their personal problems and frictions, this time the focus being more on Giles and Xander.  Giles becomes resentful of Buffy when she isn’t very supportive of his new relationship, especially when he was supportive of all of hers over the years. Xander has a long talk with Anya’s ghost, deciding the best way to move on with his life is to completely ignore her.  If that weren’t enough, they receive the location of the Mistress and the Soul Glutton.  The two demons are not willing to go down easy and only one of the gang is capable of saving them.  Things have been a bit uneven during the current arc as it has hit some high and lows.  This month feels rushed, trying to shove in both Giles and Xander’s relationship problems, while also dealing with two “major” threats.  Yet with so much going on, neither the Mistress or the Soul Glutton ever get the chance to actually feel like they pose a real danger.  With the current season coming to a close, we can only hop next season can finally bring a new “big bad” that will truly challenge the group.
