As Archie ponders how he can mend fences with his meddling friends Jughead and Betty, one of them humorously and inadvertently knock him unconscious. With Archie out of the way, Reggie takes the opportunity to try to complete his new quest of breaking up Archie and Veronica. Realizing just how rich Veronica is, he decides to insert himself in Archie’s place. Only Archie’s injury shows how much Veronica really cares for her new boyfriend. That’s not going to stop Reggie, who finds some information her father is not happy to hear. It’s a lot of teenage drama, but Waid manages to keep it light and playful in a way that makes it defy an age group. Waid doesn’t just get the credit though, as Fish once again does a terrific job as the new series artist, matching the energy of the story every step of the way. If Archie isn’t on your regular pull list, you just don’t know what you’re missing.
