2016 should see the release of a multitude of fantastic indie games hitting over the coming year. Since we heard about it last year, one title we specifically have been carefully watching and eagerly anticipating is Swordy coming from Frogshark.
Being developed by a team of only four, Swordy is a local multiplayer physics based brawler. The game tasks you with mastering your weapons momentum and timing to repeatedly smack your friends in the face until you send them to their colorfully-pixellated death. It looks fluid and frantic, a winning combination for fans of couch co-op like ourselves. With multiple death match modes and up to 8 players locally, its hard not to start drooling over this game.
Currently Swordy is scheduled for 2016 Q2 for Xbox One, Windows 10, and PC. With the start of the new year, we are really hoping we will hear something more definitive on a release date from Frogshark because we can’t wait to get our hands on this.
