Review:  ★★★★☆

The several month break between issues is really disappointing, but Brubaker and Epting make sure every time we come back to Velvet, it is more than worth the wait.  Her journey home to New York brings another agent sent to track her down as her quest for answers continues.  She now has Ma with her for aid, but she has to walk a tightrope between using him for her aims while not revealing too much to him.  It makes the story riveting on every page that you won’t want to put it down.  Velvet continues to be one of our favorite espionage comics EVER.  Now it would be nice if it could get back on a regular schedule.
