- Episode: Devils You Know (S03E04)
- Review: ★★★★☆
Finally the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. go on the offensive.
They have decide to track down the “Lash” character that has been killing Inhumans. They have done a great job of making Lash a huge mystery, plus a badass character to boot. He’s clearly a bad guy to S.H.I.E.L.D. so I haven’t decided if I want them to catch him/her or just let him thin the herd.
In the mist of all this, Coulson has made a deal with the other government agency to help and share intelligence. We all know Phil is probably ahead of all this and will hopefully make it go his way. Daisy has been on the fence about the whole situation. I think she works better as a character that always needs something to fight against. Her presence also causes issues with the ATCU and I imagine it will become worse as the season rolls. The whole situation gets out of hand in the episode, but when it does its super cool. It’s good to see the show so focused.
Hunter and May’s quest to hunt down Hydra, specifically Ward, comes quickly to a head as well in this episode. I actually believed they would stretch it out longer. There’s a really cool gun fight. Some decisions have to be made during the fight. The show could potentially/most likely lose a character in the process. Hunter even says, “There’s always lives at risk.”
Like many other spy-ish type show there’s always something going on in the background. Unlike any other show, this is the Marvel Universe.; the bigger picture is always in view. Better yet, things have been moving full speed ahead making each episode exciting.
